Amazon Prime Video announced its massive schedule of content for the next couple of years last week. Zee5 has now unveiled its 2022 content schedule, which includes over 80 programmes in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and Bengali. It features over 40 original episodes and over 40 films from a variety of genres.
Zee5 has also announced partnerships with BBC Studios, Applause Entertainment, The Viral Fever (TVF), and Vetrimaaran, Prakash Raj, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagraj Manjule, among others.
It’s worth noting that some of the previously announced programmes and films have already begun streaming.

Taj, an epic tale of succession, Forensic, Duranga, a romantic thriller, and new seasons of famous series like Abhay 3, Pitchers 2, Sunflower 2, Tripling 3, Never Kiss Your Best Friend 2 and Rangbaaz 3 are among the Hindi originals on offer.
Some of the biggest theatrical blockbusters, such as The Kashmir Files, Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund, and John Abraham’s Attack, will be released digitally on the platform.
The platform said in a statement that the content slate ‘includes a strong line-up of regionals, including the recently launched Anantham and Gaalivaana, as well as some of the most awaited shows and movies in Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and Bengali like Nilamellam Ratham, Fingertip S2, Paper Rocket Recce Kinnerasaani, Yaar Anmulle Returns, Fuffad Ji, and Main Viyah Nahi Karona
Zee5 India’s Chief Business Officer, Manish Kalra, stated, “The expansion has been spectacular, with a large portion coming from regional markets as we expanded our presence in the South and Punjab. We’ve boosted our investments in regional content, and we’re open to forming collaborations with global studios, independent producers, and premium content production companies across regions and languages.”
“We have already begun 2022 on a high note, with positive audience reception for Mithya, Love Hostel, Abhay 3, and Bloody Brothers to name a few,” said Nimisha Pandey, Chief Content Officer – Hindi Originals, Zee5.
Valimai, Nilamellam Ratham, Anantham, Paper Rocket, Five-Six-Seven-Eight, Alma Mater, Ayali, Thalamai Seyalagam, Fingertip 2, Kolaigara Kairegaigal, and Aindham Vedham are among the recently announced Tamil slate. Gaalivaana, Kinnerasaani, Recce 2, ATM Prema Vinam, Maa Neella Tank, and Aha Naa Pellanta are among the Telugu releases.
A year’s membership to Zee5 costs Rs. 599. Zee5 claims to have over 5 lakh hours of on-demand material and 160 live television channels. It has around 3,500 films, 1,750 TV series, and 700 originals in its library. English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, and Punjabi are among the 12 Indian languages available on Zee5.
Indian OTT releases are led by Thar and Saani Kaayidham.
