WhatsApp for macOS will be available in the App Store soon

This year, WhatsApp may finally offer its desktop version to Macs and Macbooks. According to recent reports, the business is testing WhatsApp for macOS.

WhatsApp is working on a version of the app that uses the Mac Catalyst framework, according to a recent post on WABetaInfo.

It allows developers to create iPad apps directly for Mac OS X Monterrey. Unlike the WhatsApp desktop software, which can be downloaded directly from the website, the new app is likely to be distributed on the App Store.

The method of using the desktop software stays the same, as shown in the screenshot. Users must use the QR code to link their devices.
