Microsoft is attempting to eradicate ransomware once and for all

Microsoft is unveiling a new line of managed security solutions to assist businesses tackle ransomware and other cyberthreats.

Microsoft Security prevented over 9.6 billion malware attacks and over 35 billion phishing and other harmful emails last year alone, while actively tracking over 35 ransomware families and 250 distinct threat actors around the world.

This is why Vasu Jakkal, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of security, compliance, identity, and management, announced in a new blog post that the company is expanding existing service capabilities under a new service category called Microsoft Security

Overall, the company intends to provide this new category of services in the areas of security, compliance, identification, management, and privacy.
