One hypothesis floating around the rumour mill right now is that AMD is working on a new graphics card
This is according to Phoronix.com (opens in new tab), which discovered a new device ID for a ‘Beige Goby’ card in AMD’s Linux graphics driver
Like the preceding RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 graphics cards, the Beige Goby series is a low-end RDNA 2 (current-gen devices) designed on the Navi 24 GPU.
We have no idea what a new Navi 24 GPU could be: it may just be a refresh of an existing model, such as the RX 6400, but we’re not sure how much sense it would make.
