After Tesla, now BMW is interested in the return of cylinder batteries in EV

Nothing is out of date in the world of technology. Whatever is sent out eventually returns in another form.

This rite of passage is fascinating. Consider cylindrical-shaped batteries as an example. They were replaced by ones with a rectangular shape a few years ago.

They were also known as bag batteries and prismatic batteries. Particularly quickly adapted were notebooks and mobile devices.

However, Tesla, a type of disruptor in the EV market, chose to veer off the traditional road. The Elon Musk-led business decided to pursue cylindrical battery packs.
