Smartphone location services have become an integral part of a number of apps and businesses. Location services ensure that you save time and get the optimal path, whether you’re ordering meals or using Google Maps to get to your destination. However, the location services on Android can display erroneous information or cease operating altogether.

1.TURN ON AND OFF AIRPLANE MODE

2.TURN ON GOOGLE ACCURATE LOCATION

3.VERIFY PERMISSIONS FOR THE LOCATION
If the location issue is restricted to one or two apps, you’ll need to double-check their location permissions. Here’s how to go about doing it.
Step 1: On your phone, open the Settings app and scroll down to Location.
Step 2: Select App permissions to see a list of apps organised by their location permissions.
Step 3: Select the app that is having problems locating you. Set the location permission to ‘Allow all the time’ or ‘Allow just while the app is being used.’
You’ll also notice an option to enable Precise Location if your phone is running Android 12 or higher. To increase location accuracy, make sure you enable it.
Check if the problematic app can identify your location by restarting it.
4.DATE AND TIME ARE ACCURATE
If your phone’s date or time is incorrect, it may be unable to communicate with GPS services. As a result, you might have problems using location-based apps and services. To avoid any inconsistencies, set your Android to use the network-provided date and time.
Step 1: Open your phone’s Settings app and scroll down to General management. After that, select Date and Time.
Step 2: Toggle on the Automatic date and time switch.

5.TURN OFF DATA AND BATTERY SAVINGS
The data saver on your phone might prevent apps from accessing the internet in the background. As a result, apps may take longer to detect your position than intended or fail to do so entirely. To fix this, disable your phone’s data saver by following the instructions below.

EXPERIENCE SAFE MODE
If the location services are still not working after enabling all of the necessary options, try restarting your phone in Safe Mode. All third-party apps and non-essential services on your phone will be disabled as a result. This will help you figure out which of them is causing the issue.
