India’s first phone with the Dimensity 9000 chipset
On May 18, Vivo will finally unveil its X80 series flagship smartphones in India. These phones are the successors of the Vivo X70 series and will be available on Flipkart for around Rs 42,000.
Vivo made the announcement via Twitter earlier today, and Flipkart has developed a dedicated product page with details on the two phones.
However, because the phones have already made their debut in China, we are familiar with the device’s capabilities and characteristics.
The Vivo X80 series smartphones are expected to include a bespoke V1+ processor developed in collaboration with MediaTek. To boost picture processing, this works in tandem with the primary chipset, which might be either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Dimensity 9000.
Here’s what we know about the introduction of the X80 series in India thus far.
Pricing and availability for the Vivo X80 series are expected
In India, Vivo is scheduled to launch the X80 and X80 Pro through Flipkart. While the launch date has been set for May 18, the first sale date has yet to be determined at the time of writing.
This time, the smartphone will be available in three colours: blue, black, and orange. The tablet is expected to be available in four different versions, each with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There could also be 256GB and 512GB storage options.
The device’s price is still unknown, but we expect the X80’s base model to start at around Rs 42,000. The X80 Pro’s most powerful form.
Specifications for the Vivo X80 series
The Vivo X80 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with QuadHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. A big ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the display can scan two fingers at once for enhanced identification. The Vivo X Note is equipped with the same technology.
The X80 series’ cameras are the device’s standout feature. The device’s quad-camera configuration includes a 50MP primary lens, a 48MP secondary lens, a 12MP telephoto lens with the distinctive gimbal stabilisation, and an 8MP periscope sensor in the Pro version.
Some of the same designs are seen on the normal X80, however there are slight changes. It has the same screen size as the iPhone, however it does not have adjustable refresh rates. A 120Hz FullHD+ display is included with the normal OLED panel.
Both smartphones are equipped with Dimensity 9000 chipsets, although it is unknown whether Vivo would release the Snapdragon version of the handset in India.
The X80 Pro has a battery capacity of 4,700 mAh, while the normal X80 has a capacity of 4,500 mAh. The devices also feature 80W rapid charging and are powered by the latest Funtouch OS, which is based on Android 12.
