While searching the internet for egg bagel recipes, I discovered that egg bagels topped with poppy seeds are a classic Jewish dish, which I had no idea about. I baked half of the bagels “normal” plain egg bagels and covered the other half with popppy seeds in an attempt to be authentic. Both were amazing — the poppy seed egg bagels were delicious with cream cheese, and the egg bagels were delicious on their own.

Egg bagels are thought to have originated in Poland. However, they are superior to ordinary bagels, and I learned about this recipe during a trip to Poland. At the motel where I was staying, I had these delicious egg bagels. I looked up the recipe on the internet since it made me want these bagels even more. They have a spongey texture and are quite tasty.

To create egg bagels, dissolve yeast in water thoroughly. Then, properly combine the salt and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and add them to the yeast mixture. Then, to form a smooth dough, add flour to the bowl, knead it, and roll it into little balls. After a few minutes of boiling, brush with egg yolks and sprinkle with sesame and poppy seeds. After that, bake for 30 minutes.

The key ingredients for this delicacy are yeast, sugar, and eggs, with a complete list of ingredients listed below. Following that, you’ll find the whole recipe, including all of the required stages. You can find the full recipe for making these Bagels at home here.
